D. Morales-Jiménez received the Telecommunication Engineering degree from the University of Málaga (UMA), Spain, in 2006, and the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Telecommunication Technologies from the same University in 2008 and 2011, respectively. Between 2006 and 2011, he worked as an associate researcher at the Department of Communication Engineering (UMA), taking part in several research projects. In September 2011, he joined the Department of Information and Communication Technologies at Universitat Pompeu Fabra (UPF), Barcelona, Spain, as a post-doctoral researcher and part-time lecturer. Since then, he has been working in the Wireless Communications Research Group (WiCom), headed by Prof. Angel Lozano. His main research interests are related to the statistical characterization of fading channels, performance analysis and design of adaptive MIMO systems, interference cancellation, and MIMO-OFDM solutions for wireless communications.
